A New Year’s Eve Wedding to Remember: The Hubbells at The Ivy House

There’s something magical about a New Year’s Eve wedding, and Ashlyn and Graham’s celebration at The Ivy House in Saugatuck, Michigan was the perfect way to ring in the new year. The Ivy House, with its greenhouse setting, is a winter wonderland dream. Despite the chill outside, the venue was warm with love, laughter, and an unforgettable energy that I’ll never forget.

We began the day capturing the simplest yet most meaningful details. Ashlyn’s style was elegant and timeless, and every piece she chose reflected that. From the moment her dad saw her during their first look, I knew this day would be special. He had the most infectious, bubbly personality—he was practically glowing with joy. Watching their connection was heartwarming and set the tone for the day.

Then came Graham’s first look at Ashlyn, and let me tell you, his reaction was priceless. He lit up with the biggest grin and pulled her close, soaking in that moment. Ashlyn was absolutely stunning, and the way Graham looked at her showed just how deeply he admired her.

The ceremony took place in the greenhouse, transformed into a romantic haven with candles and twinkling lights. Ashlyn envisioned a lowlight, dusk ceremony, and thanks to an incredible team of vendors, we brought her dream to life. The ambiance was intimate and enchanting, as if everyone in the room was there for a greater purpose, to celebrate not just a wedding but a love story.

But the best part of the evening? The reception! The speeches were filled with love and respect, especially Ashlyn’s Dad’s heartfelt words. He was so proud of his daughter and Graham, his emotions barely contained while Ashlyn’s mom smiled beside him.

On the black and white checkered dance floor, the band gave a performance that shook the house. And just when we thought the energy couldn’t get higher, Graham’s basement band took over, complete with wooden spoons and surprise entertainment! The crowd went wild. To top it off, the Hubbells gave out temporary tattoos as wedding favors, which were an absolute hit.

The evening ended with everyone dancing and singing right up until midnight. Looking out across the room, I couldn’t see a single face without a smile. It felt like pure joy had filled every corner of The Ivy House, and I was so lucky to document it all.

Congratulations, Ashlyn and Graham! Your love lit up the new year, and your wedding is one I’ll cherish forever. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!
